Janet is a member of the Northern Vermont Artists Association as well as the Milton Artists' Guild. She has shown her paintings and photographs at the Bryan Memorial Gallery in Jeffersonville, the Firehouse Gallery and the Fletcher Free Library in Burlington, the Round Barn in Waitsfield, the Chittenden Bank in Milton, and other northern Vermont locations.
She also creates flower photo note cards and pen & ink cards, and paintings in acrylic and watercolor.

Janet Sobieski moved to Vermont in 1981, and has lived in Milton since 1990. She grew up on Long Island, New York.
The natural beauty of Vermont is breathtaking, and inspires her greatly. Flowers are the primary inspiration for her photographs and paintings.
Janet works in acrylics and watercolor, but also enjoys photography and drawing. She portrays the natural world, although often in an abstract way and using intensified colors. Janet works on site when possible, and paints from still life and from her own photographs.
