![]() Having been in the restaurant business in NYC she gained a love of jazz from visiting the various jazz clubs in Greenwich Village. Many of her earlier expressional abstracts reflect the music scene and memories of the New York City nightlife. Two of her musical paintings, "All that Jazz" and "Let's Jam" were selected for the "Artist Mug" for Vermont Public Radio's online membership drive for 2011. ![]() |
Karen Day-Vath is a self taught artist working in oil and acrylic. She was born and brought up in Manhattan and then moved to Staten Island, NY where she resided for many years prior to moving to Vermont.
![]() Karen also enjoys "experimenting" with different mediums, and at times will incorporate sand, egg shells, glue and other materials into her art for texture.
