Fredric Johnson

My art adventure started with my grandmother when I was ten. She taught me the fundamentals of color, perspective and the meaning of patience. In my late twenties i studied with a well known Adirondack Guide and Artist. Some of our painting trips included trout fishing or deer hunting. Ray refined my ability to paint the effects of lighting and texture, working from nature.

“ Living between the Green mountains and the Adirondack High Peaks on the Champlain Islands provides an abundance of inspirational composition ideas. Painting for me is more of a hobby with an occasional commission assignment.
