Mary Jane Healy

I have lived in North Hero for 34 years full time, and many summers before that.  I am a juried member of Vermont Hand Crafters since something like 1987 for weaving and a couple of years later for dollhouse miniatures.  I work in fiber, not wood or anything like that, so my miniature work is similar to what I do in full size--weaving, knitting, stenciling, and have produced what I have been told are very nice dollhouse patchwork quilts and coverlets.  In full size, I do scarves, runners ladies tops, and various other things on a whim.  I stopped doing rag placemats as they are not "fun" but I have done a number of rag runners that have been popular enough that I am almost out of them now.

The Town Historian of North Hero: I have written 3 books so far on deeds and what I have found in them.  It's one of the things I do for fun.  I have been a widow for 14 years, but stay here because there are so many things to do, and the VT scenery is nice.
