Rebecca Nase Chomyn

Rebecca Nase Chomyn was raised in Vermont. In 2003, she received her BFA in fine arts majoring in sculpture from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY. She moved home to VT after college, but had the urge to explore, and learn more. She traveled across the country, and landed in Sonoma County California. There, she worked in an industrial design metal shop as a fabricator. She met the owners of the Voigt Family Sculpture Foundation and was offered a position as their personal welder and a sculpture installer for the foundation.

While she was working for VFSC, she created her own sculptures for various people, wineries, galleries and Burning Man. Rebecca met her husband in CA, had her children there, and decided to move home to VT to raise her family. Now she is building up her artistic reputation in Vermont. Rebecca’s artistic talent goes beyond the metal arts. She has illustrated a children’s book that her mother wrote (Who Paints the World?), paints in watercolor and acrylic, creates one of a kind seasonal chalkboard art at the Essex Resort and Spa, and displays her metal work at Artist in Residence Gallery, as well as the Milton Artists Guild.
