Sheila G. Franz is a still life and landscape artist working in oils and acrylics.
Inspired early on by Vermont artist and teacher Rita Boyd, Sheila leans toward a painterly impressionistic style. Taking a non-conventional path to artist, Sheila earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physics from the University of Vermont and worked in the semiconductor industry for 35 years as both an engineer and marketing professional.
Sheila always used her love of art and science to communicate effectively in the professional world. This experience now translates to a personal art style grounded in technical art training with a creative flair.
Sheila has studied with academically trained award winning artist, Kelli Folsom. She completed the Dennis Perrin Academy and a variety of drawing and painting classes with several well-known classically trained Vermont artists.
