Kathleen Dwinell

Biography of Kathleen Dwinell

Kathleen grew up in Colchester, VT.  She often would accompany her Dad in his workshop.  He loved to build toys for his children and eventually grandchildren.  He would design the patterns and cut the wood and build the toys, after which he painted them with an artistic hand.  He built her a baby doll cradle, she loved this piece and was intrigued with the pink flowers he painted on it.  As Kathleen had children, she enjoyed painting Christmas ornaments with them and other crafts.  Kathleen received a gift of Tole painting lessons and found out she was pretty good at painting!  With Acrylics as the medium, she eventually moved on from tole painting to free hand painting of landscapes and sunsets.  Today she accepts commission to paint home portraits for home owners.
